ComPac I & II > GENERAL
PRODUCT INFORMATION
In our communication-based society, the profound impact of technology on all of our lives is shaping us to demand increasingly reliable services, especially in communications. A key element of the entire new global network of communications systems circling our cities and running parallel to our roadways are the shelters containing the backbone of our communications infrastructure - the electronic equipment. These shelters require air conditioning during most, if not all of the year, to offset the high heat loads given off by the equipment and to ensure its smooth operation. Reliable Marvair Air Conditioners keep the network operating whatever the outdoor conditions. In the early 1980s, Crispaire Corporation (now called Marvair Airxcel Inc.) developed the innovative Marvair air conditioning units specifically for the emerging communications market. Marvair continues to be the preferred choice for communications applications worldwide because they are durable, easy to install and perform reliably year after year. Efficient Air Conditioning Systems for All Telecommunications Applications With the telecommunications industry - cellular, cable, wireless, satellite, PCS - changing so quickly, companies have made a sizeable investment to ensure that the electronic equipment vital the communications operations work reliably inside the shelter. Marvair's full line of air conditioning products - from one-half ton to fifteen ton - are designed and manufactured to cool communications shelters, huts and cabinets. Units are available for many voltages and most international power supplies. Marvair Airxcel Inc. combines expertise in design, manufacturing and industry knowledge to be uniquely qualified to provide the air conditioning units you need today. Marvair Products are Flexible, Cost-Efficient Solutions for Today and Tomorrow The Marvair ComPac I and ComPac II air conditioners are used primarily to cool electronic and communication equipment shelters. Due to the high internal heat load, these shelters require cooling even when outside temperatures drop below 60ºF. The ComPac I and ComPac II have the necessary controls and components for operation during these (less than 60ºF) temperatures. ComPac I and ComPac II are designed and built with all of the controls needed for cooling your communications shelter in any season. The primary difference between the two models is that the ComPac II has a factory installed economizer. This economizer senses the outside air, and when cool and dry, uses this air to cool the shelter, reducing the run time on the compressor by up to 75%, extending compressor life and the longevity of the air conditioner. The economizer provides temperature control, energy cost savings and increased reliability by decreasing the operating hours of the compressor. The ComPac I is ideal for tropical or subtropical environments or corrosive outside air may damage sensitive telecommunications equipment. The ComPac I and ComPac II air conditioners are problem solvers for a wide range of conditions and applications. In addition, factory and field installed accessories can be used to meet specific requirements. The ComPac I and ComPac II air conditioners are listed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Rating and specifications are in accordance with the Air Conditioning and Refridgeration Institute (ARI) standards. Standard Features | ComPac Options © 1998 Communication Air Supply.
